Description
SMPS440-TK is a single output 400W unregulated switching power supply targetting DC-DC converters while maintaining a unique sound signature. 34VDC output.
It is compatible with both the HDPlex 800w (not 400w) DC-DC and the Taiko Audio DC-DC converters.
This power supply combines all the experience and techniques needed to deliver a new unique SMPS.
SMPS440-TK comes as standard with 680uF or 1360uF Mundorf AG for primary side rectification, and 110000uF or 165000uF Mundorf AG output capacitance. All main caps have ceramic bypass capacitors installed.
The PSU has been designed to operate within a PC chassis hence its compact size.
Even with very high loads (HQPlayer running at DSD1024 rates, for example), the heatsink on the PSU barely becomes warm due to zero current switching techniques involved (very low losses).
The capacitance value above is determined by the hieght of your chassis.
